So Harb, Ed, Tyler, myself, and George, Brandon, Tom & Nick from the Pixel Lincoln team descended on Los Angeles for this year’s E3 show. We pitched out two budding titles for the Nintendo DS and showed them off to about 20 or so publishers. Hands On! Pattern Blocks received excellent reviews from everyone we saw commenting on how it grew (the brand) over the initial inception of Hands On! Tangrams. Folks really enjoyed seeing the adventure element of the game and we received some great feedback. Pixel Lincoln was widely accepted and everyone was very excited about the action platformer. Seeing Pixel Lincoln in action in the video we were showing off to give some samples of game-play and basic mechanics was well received and really got some interest from quite a few houses. We walked about 40K steps in the three days of the sow and ran into some serious giants of our industry. We made some great new contacts and spoke to a large number of people we did know as well. Thursday a bunch of us went to Fogo de’ Chao in Beverly Hills for a festival of meat and went into meat comas collectively later that evening. We hit Venice and Santa Monica on Friday and headed to Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles and Hollywood on Saturday before flying out late. Dinah‘s welcomed us each morning for a wonderful $4.99 breakfast including some eggs, choice of meat(bacon) & 3 amazing, tasty pancakes.
A great trip this year!
